This step Tiles In San Francisco Light At Night Of The Moonlight

The 16th Street Tiles Step Project is a community-led project stunning in San Francisco. Friends and neighbors gathered to cover the 163 steps in 16 and Moraga with beautiful mosaic tiles colorful. And as if this was not amazing enough, just wait until the sun goes down!

Tiles like a mirror reflecting the moonlight at night, but the steps to be more spectacular when capturing the sunrise or sunset beams. This project took over one and a half years to complete and included the help of more than 300 neighbors. KZ Tile, tile SF-large corporate settings, kindly agreed to help arrange the tiles in place and more than 220 neighbors sponsored the creation of handmade tile of animals, birds and fish. The end result was amazing, but as you can see from these pictures, the true beauty is revealed only after sunset. This project is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when the community decided to work together. That’s what we call a “step” in the right direction!
